“Tervel is a walking encyclopedia of travel knowledge! He is incredibly worldly, having lived in numerous countries and visited over 100! He speaks several languages, which helps him to communicate clearly with hotel staff, drivers, and tour guides - which ensures the best possible arrangements and service when traveling internationally. He planned an unforgettable two and a half week trip to South Korea and Vietnam for my partner and me. I was a little intimidated by the idea of traveling to Asia, but his attention to detail in creating our itinerary put me at ease. He sought plenty of feedback in order to plan experiences tailored to our wants and needs, and he gave a thorough presentation of the plans so we felt prepared for the journey. The whole itinerary was delivered to us by email, but we also received a link to download an app onto our phones including all relevant details. We could see every flight, hotel reservation, tour etc. in chronological order, and it was even accessible when our phones were offline. While our trip was originally scheduled for late 2020, we were unable to travel as planned due to the pandemic. Tervel coordinated the postponement of our trip with various parties involved, and if there were any steps we needed to complete he gave detailed instructions and followed up to ensure everything was set. We were finally able to make the trip a few weeks ago, and not only did he help save us from losing airline and hotel credits - He even negotiated some items down so the final total was less than we originally budgeted! The trip began with a few days in Seoul, South Korea. We knew we'd have to connect in a larger city, so we figured it would be a fun place to visit and begin acclimating to Asian culture. As luck would have it, Tervel was simultaneously traveling through Korea on his way to Japan! He offered to show us some sights around Seoul, so we got a personalized tour of some of Seoul's most noteworthy places: Hongdae Street shops and market, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village, Gwangjang Market, Lotte World Tower... Not only did we benefit from his recommendations, but also his guidance with etiquette i.e. "Korean people hand items to one another with both hands, so be sure to use both when you receive something," and "Refrain from talking on public transit, but whatever you do don't blow your nose in public!" These cues were very appreciated so we could respect the culture in which we were immersed and didn't stick out as tourists like sore thumbs. In Vietnam we were met with guides at each stop to help us navigate through customs, meet our drivers, and make our way to our hotel. Tervel arranged activities that varied vastly - from a street food tour Hanoi with a well-known food blogger, to a cruise on Ha Long Bay where we kayaked and saw wild monkeys, a bicycle ride through a craftsmen's village outside Hoi An to see local artisans handmake traditional goods, to a walking tour of a plantation on the Mekong Delta and a ride on a Sampan boat through natural canals... After a few days in the bustling metropolis of Saigon, we made our way to an all-inclusive spa resort on the island of Phu Quoc. We were tempted to go into town, but after such a busy couple weeks we ended up enjoying the relaxation of not having to go anywhere! This was truly the best way to end our adventure, and to prepare for our journey home. Believe it or not, I have glazed over what was for me the trip of a lifetime and left out many details - There's just no way to adequately describe with words what an amazing experience we had. I now understand the value of turning to a professional to make the most of your investment of time and money when traveling. There's no way we could have planned such an astonishing vacation for ourselves, and we certainly wouldn't have been able to avoid the stress of juggling all the moving parts without Tervel's skills. I can't speak highly enough of his level of expertise, and I highly recommend him to any discerning traveler looking for an unforgettable voyage.”
